A pencil drawing I did for a friend. Ok.. maybe it's more like I did it for his girlfriend and he gave me the commission. With all the sketches I did first, it took me about 40 hours or something (Wasn't drawing with a stop watch in my hands
2H,HB,2B,4B and an 8B used for this one. Tryed to use more pencils than I usually do, gives nicer gradiants somehow.
Man im tired, gotta go to sleep...
The size is 50x70 cm and it's the huges drawing i ever did (Sooo huuuuge, no seriously, I usually don't draw with something larger than A4) but it was a nice experience. Some things are way much easyer to do and other get a little more complicated. Somehow I'm not so happy with how some parts turned out, like the face just for example. Though somehow I'm allmost never satisfied with the things I do...
It was my pleasure! As to the name, I prefer to disregard the negative connotations of the word 'savage' (crude, cruel, ill-tempered, or uncivilized, for example) and concentrate instead on the nobler qualities that can also be ascribed to the same word (like: primal, original, untamed, unspoiled).

Somehow it seems like you're a really nice and well educated person and that's exactly what scares me. Please don't get me wrong. It's not that I'm scared of you or the fact that you are educated scares me. It's more that, the more people I meet, the more I see that most people, no matter from what culture or "religion" they are from, are actually very kind. And then I ask myself the question: "If most people actually really nice, then how could such stupid stuff like wars or murder happen on our planet?" Could it be that good people do bad stuff? I don't know. And I have to say that sometimes it really bothers me...
It is (or should be) a concern for all of us. Having lived with and observed human nature for over half a century, I still don't have the answer to that thorny question. I prefer to think that we sometimes lose sight of how much we are all interconnected with the universe and each other. At those times it is easier to focus on 'differences', thus making it easier to cause or permit harm to ourselves and others.
------ “It's human to make mistakes and some of us are more human than others” -(Ashleigh Brilliant)
That's exactly the point. We are all humans. We are all the same species. The different societies the different curtures buit up look, in my eyes, more like different parts of the same fractal, than anything else, and they all look very similar in my opinion. Ok... So what I think is, that everything that made our lives better is based on technological progress. Not our polititians or religion and stuff like that (seriously i think they make everything worse(I don't wan't to insult anybody with that statement, it's just my opinion)). What could be a solution to many of our lives problems would be a technical revolution. Of course that wouldn't solve everything, but I think we should be able to manage a lot of our problems. Maybe people in 200 years will look back and think:"Look how primitive they lived. It must have been horrible!" ^^
Right now I would really like to have better english knowledge I understand everything you say (thanks to my online dictionary), but i can't express myself like I'd be able to in German
Thanks a lot

My dictionary didn't tell me that

`The question is,' said Alice, `whether you can make words mean so many different things.'
`The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, `which is to be master -- that's all.'
